Homeland Security suspends immigration agreements with Arizona police – Washington Times

The Obama administration said Monday it is suspending existing agreements with Arizona police over enforcement of federal immigration laws, and said it has issued a directive telling federal authorities to decline many of the calls reporting illegal immigrants that the Homeland Security Department may get from Arizona police.

  1. Does the state have the right to protect its borders from invasion? Does the Second Amendment give a State the right to form a militia? If so what would be the purpose of such a militia? Does the Constitution of the United States, state that the sovereignty and protection of the borders of the several states, to solely within the jurisdiction of the federal government? Can a state used the National Guard to protect its self from foreign invasion without the authorization of the president? Is there a difference between immigration and invasion?
